Jilla Review

The movie directed by Neasan. Its pongal 2014, This time around we have deadly combo of The Complete Actor Mohanlal & Illayathalapathy Vijay coming together for Jilla, which is Producer R.B Choudays's 85th film. D.Imman Composes music for the film.

Jilla is a story of sweet relationship between Sivan (Mohanlal) and Shakthi (vijay) which turns sour due to series of events.

The movie begins with classy intro of Mohanlal followed by flashback. But the real fun begins when Vijay arrives with a thunderous stunt scene. The first half traverses with comedy which is silly at times, songs at regular intervals and some action sequences.

Into the second half, Jilla follows the tried and tested formula of commercial movies. Songs, fight and punch dialogues are galore , the circle of problem arising in one scene and getting solved in next swirls for quite a number of times. Although there are some scenes which are hair rising , there are few which will make you squirm in your seat, the twists at the end too.

Coming to performances, and the two stalwarts are joy to watch, Vijay keep the tempo in going with funny mannerisms which are good. It is doubtlessly an enjoyable performance though. Mohanlal who grabs the majority of screen space in first half is mighty as he fit into the role of character pretty well and excels in Tamil diction. Kajal is cute and looks like dream in the song sequences. out of the supporting performances Mahat Raghavendra is charm in his pivotal role, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Niveditha Thomas, Sampath raj, Pradeep Rawat and others fit the bill.

Dialogues by N Bhaskaran are to good, albeit sounding too punchy when it comes to Mohanlal. Cinenamatography by Ganesh Rajavelu is appreciable, especially in stunt sequence. Editing by Don Max could have much crisper, as it would have aided the lengthy run time of movie. The stunts are Visually worthy, choreography in Jilla has a huge blow as Imman's foot taping music was brought down by the impressive dance moves. Vijay's wardrobe deserves a special mention.

Music by Imman is the Kingpin of Jilla. The song are too good in this movie. Bringing in 5 different versions of theme. He has put all his effort to make the BGM stand strong.

Director Neasan & team had done a great job without disappointing the audience waiting for the Movie Jilla. Its a pongal treat for Jilla team. Its a treat from Mohanlal and Vijay to their fans. Nothing can stop Jilla from being a Box Office success, lapped up with glee by fans especially.

# Good entertainer with good songs, choreography and an awesome combo of Vijay & Mohanlal, while the second half is lengthy.

# Jilla's biggest strength are Imman's songs and BGM. Great cinematography and excellent choreography by Raju Sundaram & Sridhar.

# 1st half- mass entertainer! 2nd half- a bit lengthy, but entertaining!

# There are several scenes where fans will erupt in celebration. At the same time, some scenes are dragging.

#All the cast do their jobs well, but Vijay and Mohanlal steal the show. Both do their parts well, and show their mass.

# 3 hours too long for a mass movie. Song picturisation is a worry.

# Mass overload. Vijay and Mohanlal pack a punch, but this sure is a disappointment. D.Imman the saviour!

Facebook Fake Id : A girl Arrested

A 20-year-old woman, student of a private college, was on Thursday arrested by the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) for allegedly defaming her batch mate, police said.

The accused woman, a final year B Sc student of a private college, was arrested for creating a fake Facebook account by posting the victim's photographs, along with her phone numbers and some abusive comments.

According to CCIC inspector K Satyanarayana Rao, Pollamuri Bhagya Sri Rama Amrutha (20) pursuing a B Sc degree in a private college had an argument with her batchmate.

Amrutha, who was not aware of the gravity of cybercrimes, allegedly created a fake Facebook account in the victim's name and also posted her photographs, with some abusive comments. Irritated after seeing her photographs and abusive comments, the victim and her?grandfather lodged a complaint at a local police station in the city about two months ago and subsequently the case was transferred to the CCIC.

Rao and his team analysed the case based on Facebook profile log details and user details. They arrested Amrutha under Section 66 (A) and 66 (C) of the IT Act 2000-2008 and seized a tablet and some SIM cards as well as a mobile phone from her.
Based on Amrutha's confession, she was sent to judicial custody, the police said.

Animal Brothels : Weird Human

Did you know that ANIMAL BROTHELS do exist and are legal in Denmark? It might sound shocking and sad to many of you but it is true. Laws in both Denmark and Norway are justly open when it comes to a person’s legal right to engage in sexual activity with an animal.

Bestiality brothels are spreading through Germany faster than ever thanks to a law that makes animal porn illegal but sex with animals legal. A livestock protection officer Madeleine Martin said that current laws were not protecting animals from predatory zoophiles who are increasingly able to turn to bestiality as a 'lifestyle choice'. Bestiality is becoming a popular attraction in the nation's brothels.

“A 2002 study found that 96 percent of juveniles who had sexual conduct with animals also admitted to sex offenses against humans.”

According to Daily Mail, “Martin had highlighted one case where a farmer in the Gross-Gerau region of southwest Germany, noticed his once friendly flock of sheep were beginning to shy away from human contact.  Armed with a host of similar case studies, Martin called for the government to categorically ban bestiality across the country.”

The FBI says serial sexual homicide perpetrators
commonly sexually assault animals.

Daily Mail said, “Last November German authorities said they were planning to reinstate an old law forbidding sex with animals after a sharp rise in incidents of bestiality along with websites promoting it. Parliament began debating changes to the national Animal Protection Code with the agricultural committee of the Bundestag pledging fines of up to £20,000 for a first offence. Bestiality dropped off the statute books as a crime in 1969 but in recent years the number of people believed to be participating in such acts has increased significantly. There are even 'erotic zoos' which people can visit to abuse animals ranging from llamas to goats. Hans-Michael Goldmann, chairman of the agriculture committee, said the government aimed to forbid using an animal 'for individual sexual acts and to outlaw people 'pimping' creatures to others for sexual use.' When the 1969 law banning sex with animals was banned the Animal Protection Law was introduced, but it failed to include a specific ban on zoophilia.”

US is Shivering in cold

US has been spending the first days of 2014 in the grip of record-breaking cold and snow as a 'polar vortex' sent the temperatures plunging to their coldest level in nearly 20 years. After days of an arctic chill so cold that a Chicago zoo brought their polar bear inside, the United States woke up to a break in the weather Wednesday.

The National Weather Service said "a much anticipated warm up" was expected over the eastern two-thirds of the United States which had shivered through a week of record-breaking cold and two massive snowstorms.

Anana, the lone polar bear at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, has never grown the thick layer of fat that bears in their native Arctic develop to insulate themselves against winter temperatures that can range as low as -50 degrees F, zoo spokeswoman Sharon Dewar said. So when temperatures plunged well into the negative range in Chicago, Anana stayed in a 40ish-degree habitat, Dewar said.
"In the wild, they would seasonally eat seals and fatten themselves up with that blubber," Dewar said. But zookeepers "don't feed them seals or fatten them up," she said.

iPhone 6: Battery 12MP+ camera

Look, no matter what anyone ever says, the most important technology for any mobile device is the battery – because without a battery, your phone can’t function.

Though the iPhone has increased its battery life by about 10% each year, battery technology has actually increased greatly. The reason you don’t see 50% battery gain in your mobile devices is because each year we add more and more tech to our mobiles, which eats up  even the bigger power reservoirs. If we didn’t add more tech to our phone and, for example, you could put the iPhone 5s’ battery into the original iPhone, that iPhone would probably run for four or five days now without a recharge.

A 24-hour+ battery life on the iPhone is Apple’s Holy Grail. Will it happen with the iPhone 6? Perhaps. A larger surface area (to fit a larger screen) means you can put a bigger battery in. It also means that screen needs to suck more power, however, which means any battery gains from the larger battery could be negligible.

12MP+ camera

But increased software optimizations in iOS 8 and increased hardware optimizations in the A7X, M7X and the IGZO display, may mean a bigger battery life increase than normal – perhaps as much as 20%.

I’ve explained before how the quality of a digital photo relies on much more than a camera’s megapixels. The 8-megapixel iSight camera in the iPhone 5s actually takes better pictures than most 12-megapixel setups.

That being said, there is no ways Apple will stick with an 8-megapixel sensor in the iPhone 6. Apple’s been using 8-megapixel sensors since the iPhone 4S, so doing so would just look lazy.

Plus Sony and others are now producing 12 and 13-megapixel sensors that are actually thinner than the 8MP sensor found in current iPhones, which means Apple could easily fit a better sensor inside a thinner device.

Acid attack survivor Laxmi’s spirit wins her a partner for life

Her face ravaged by an acid attack by a man whose proposal of marriage she declined at the age of 15 nearly nine years ago, Laxmi, has a special reason to smile these days.

Laxmi, now 24, whose story of courage in the face of extreme adversity was highlighted in a series on acid attack victims by Hindustan Times on July 21, 2013, has found a partner for life.

social activist Alok Dixit, 25, who runs a campaign on the social media against acid attacks, Spot of Shame, said he was bowled over by Laxmi’s spirit.
“When she came to us, she was bold and smart. Unlike the other girls, who shy away from society and usually move about with covered faces, Laxmi moved freely with an open face. I saw a fighter in her and gradually we fell in love,” he said.

Laxmi, a Delhi resident who was attacked with acid in 2005 and avoided the society for nearly eight years, joined him in May. Soon, they fell in love.

Their families have accepted the relationship and also their decision not to have a ceremonial wedlock.

"We don't want people to come to our wedding and comment on my looks. The looks of a bride are most important for people. So we decided not to have any ceremony," Laxmi said.

She has so far undergone seven surgeries and more might be in the offing. The journey from the societal isolation to the companionship has been very painful one, Laxmi recounts.

"I learnt to live with the physical pain but the way the society reacted was more hurting. My own relatives stopped seeing me. I stayed indoors for eight years and ventured out only with covered face," said Laxmi.

"I tried to look for a job but nobody was willing to hire me. They said people would be scared if they see me in an office,” she said.

She said survivors lose confidence to build relationships when people avoid them.

"I always ask the society, ‘what is our fault’? People accept those born blind or those who are physically challenged, but we are shunned," Laxmi said.

" I feel our condition is worse than the rape victims because with disfigured faces we even lose our identities," she said.

Alok’s campaign has spread from his native Kanpur to other cities through social media activism. Currently, about 50 victims have joined the campaign to seek justice for acid attack survivors.

The couple is currently campaigning from the national capital.
